Chessington World of Adventures

About Chessington World of Adventures

Chessington World of Adventures lies in Chessington, in Greater London, about 19 kilometres south-west of the city centre. It began in 1931 as Chessington Zoo, and in 1987 it became one of the first parks in the UK to combine animals and rides.

Today the 52-hectare resort has over 40 rides alongside a zoo with more than 1,000 animals, including gorillas, sea lions and penguins, plus a Sea Life centre. Run by Merlin Entertainments, it has hotels on site and is a popular day out for families.
