About Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World near Orlando opened on 1 May 1989 as the Disney-MGM Studios, the resort's third park. It began as both a theme park and a working film studio, set in an idealised version of Hollywood's golden age.
Today it is devoted to the worlds of film, television and music, with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Toy Story Land and classics such as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, on some 55 hectares.
