About Dollywood
Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, at the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains, opened in 1986 and is co-owned by Dolly Parton. With nearly four million visitors a year, it is the largest ticketed tourist attraction in Tennessee.
Next to roller coasters and thrill rides, the park celebrates Smoky Mountain life with traditional crafts, Southern food and live music, and it hosts concerts and festivals through the season, which runs from mid-March to the Christmas holidays.
