About PortAventura Park
PortAventura Park lies on the Costa Daurada in Catalonia, in Salou and Vila-seca, about 85 kilometres south-west of Barcelona. It opened on 1 May 1995 and, with around 3.8 million visitors a year, it is the most visited theme park in Spain.
The park takes you on a journey around the world in six themed areas: Mediterrània, Polynesia, China, México, Far West and SésamoAventura for young children. It is known for big roller coasters such as Shambhala and Dragon Khan, and it is the heart of the PortAventura World resort, together with Caribe Aquatic Park, Ferrari Land and several hotels.
