Sea World

About Sea World

Sea World on Australia's Gold Coast, in Queensland, is a marine park, oceanarium and theme park in one. It began as the Surfers Paradise Ski Gardens with water-ski shows and moved to The Spit in 1971, where dolphins and marine displays were added a year later.

Today it combines rides with animal encounters and shows, and it is known for rescuing and caring for sick, injured or orphaned marine animals. It is part of Village Roadshow's parks, next to Warner Bros. Movie World and Wet'n'Wild, and has no link with the American SeaWorld parks.
