About Tokyo DisneySea
Tokyo DisneySea opened on 4 September 2001 next to Tokyo Disneyland in Urayasu, near Tokyo. Its theme is the sea and the stories, myths and adventures connected to it, and with 12.4 million visitors in 2024 it is among the most visited theme parks in the world.
Its ports range from a Mediterranean harbour and the volcano of Mysterious Island to an American waterfront, a lost river delta, a mermaid lagoon and, since 2024, Fantasy Springs with the worlds of Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan. Like its neighbour it is owned by the Oriental Land Company, and it is often called one of the most beautiful theme parks ever built.
